Frequently Asked Questions | 1. | Why is snow plowed onto my driveway?
| | 2. | It snowed, why aren't the streets/lot plowed?
|
| | 1. | Why is snow plowed onto my driveway? | | | Snow must be plowed toward curbs of streets and pushed as equally as possible to both sides of street, as dictated by the Wayne County Road Commission and the way snow plows are mechanically designed. Therefore, driveway entrances and sidewalks adjacent to curb will have snow plowed on them. It is impossible to avoid this from happening. The weight of the snow and design of the plow prohibits us from pushing the snow any place other than to the curb, to be cost effective to your association. | | | Return to Top
| | 2. | It snowed, why aren't the streets/lot plowed? | | | Streets/lots will be plowed after an accumulation of 2 or more inches of snow occurring in a single snowfall during a twenty-four (24) hour period. Start time will depend upon the time of day the 2" accumulation is reached, when the snow is predicted to stop falling, the type of snow falling and the amount of snow forecasted for that particular snowfall. | | | Return to Top
